In the name of all women in the Philippines, we unite and gather on this special day to assert our unwavering stand for the rights, dignity, and welfare of every woman. As we celebrate Women’s Month, we highlight the urgent campaign for a Living Wage and Safe Working Conditions for Women.

In our society, countless women continue to suffer under the weight of low wages and hazardous working conditions. From factories to hospitals, schools, and even the informal sectors, exploitation and lack of protection are rampant. A living wage is not a luxury—it is a fundamental human right. Every woman deserves to receive a salary that not only meets basic needs but also provides dignity and sustains her family.

Moreover, safety in the workplace is a basic right that should never be denied to anyone. No woman should have to work in fear for her health and life. It is the duty of the government and employers to ensure safe and humane working environments, especially for women who continue to fight against discrimination and adversity.
