Sa
ngalan ng lahat ng kababaihan sa Pilipinas, tayo’y nagkakaisa at nagtitipon sa
espesyal na araw na ito upang ipakita ang ating matatag na paninindigan para sa
karapatan, dangal, at kapakanan ng bawat babae. Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng
Kababaihan, itinatampok natin ang napakahalagang kampanya para sa Nakabubuhay
na Sahod at Ligtas na Kondisyon sa Pagtatrabaho para sa mga Kababaihan.
Sa
ating lipunan, napakaraming kababaihan ang patuloy na nagdurusa sa mababang
sahod at mapanganib na kondisyon sa paggawa. Mula sa mga pabrika, ospital,
paaralan, at maging sa informal sectors, lantad ang pagsasamantala at
kakulangan sa proteksyon. Hindi luho ang living wage—ito ay karapatang
pantao. Bawat babae ay nararapat makatanggap ng sahod na hindi lamang
pantawid-gutom, kundi sapat upang magbigay-dignidad at maitaguyod ang kanilang
pamilya.
Bukod
dito, ang kaligtasan sa loob ng pinagtatrabahuhan ay isang pangunahing
karapatan na hindi dapat ipinagkakait kaninuman. Walang babae ang dapat
magtrabaho nang may pangamba para sa sariling kalusugan at buhay. May tungkulin
ang pamahalaan at mga employer na tiyakin ang ligtas at makataong
lugar-paggawa, lalo na para sa kababaihang patuloy na lumalaban sa gitna ng
diskriminasyon at pagsubok.
Sa
ating sama-samang pagkilos, tayo ang magiging tinig ng pagbabago. Ang lakas ng
kababaihan ay kalas ng kilusan, ay lakas ng lipunan. Sama-sama nating itulak
ang mga repormang magbibigay ng proteksyon, katarungan, at tunay na
pagkakapantay-pantay sa lahat ng kababaihan.
Hinihikayat
namin ang bawat isa—mga manggagawa, organisasyon, at komunidad—na sumama at
makiisa sa laban na ito. Nasa ating mga kamay ang hinaharap ng ating mga
kapatid na kababaihan. Ipaglaban natin ang mga karapatan, kilalanin ang mga
sakripisyo, at itaas ang dangal. Sa buwan ng Marso, alalahanin natin na ang
bawat babae ay may mahalagang papel sa paghubog ng mas makatarungan at pantay
na lipunan.
Ang
kababaihan, anuman ang estado sa buhay, ay kasing halaga at kasing tapang ng
sinumang lalaki. Patuloy tayong bumabangon sa kabila ng mga hamon at
diskriminasyon. Tayo ay may matibay na pananaw, matapang na tinig, at may positibong
paninindigan na ipaglaban ang aming mga karapatan sa kabila ng pagsubok.
Ngayong
Buwan ng Kababaihan, itampok natin ang ating talino, lakas, at walang kapantay
na sakripisyo. Magkaisa tayo sa pagsusulong ng tunay na pagkakapantay-pantay
sa sahod, kaligtasan sa trabaho, at pantay na pagtingin sa lahat ng aspeto ng
buhay.
