ASPAC TEAM

IYCW is a movement by, with and for the young workers. In Asia Pacific Regional Secretariat, we have the members who coordinate the activities of IYCW in Asia Pacific region who are called International Team Members. As per the statutes and internal regulation of IYCW the International Team Member is elected in the International Council and during the Mid-term election every after four years.

Currently, we have Two International Team Members who are elected by the International Council who are taking the responsibility of coordinating the IYCW in Asia Pacific. Our team we have also workers to assist us in carrying our duties and responsivities especially the  implementation of International Plan of Action 2023 - 2026 .

RONY ROBIANSYAH ( IYCW ASPAC COORDINATOR)



Rony Robiansyah was elected during the Online International Council in September 2021.  He is from Bandung , West Java ,  Indonesia and from the action PPMP-YCW Indonesia Informal Sector . He is 33 years old and has 1 child. He became a member of YCW Indonesia in 2012. He became leader of the base groups taking action in unemployment, youth and college students. Afterwards he became district leader and eventually elected YCW Indonesia National Treasurer in 2014 with the mandate until 2017.   

Rony was elected twice as National President of YCW Indonesia from 2017 - 2019 and 2019 – 2022. He has good experiences in grass-root organizing, coordinating actions and giving Task of Education to young workers.



JOHN BRIAN GERONIMO (IYCW ASPAC COORDINATOR)


John Brian Geronimo was elected as IYCW ASIA PACIFIC COORDINATOR in the last International Council 2022 in Peru and he started to assume his responsibility on February 2023. He is from the Philippines and member of Contractual base group (a group of factory workers) in Valenzuela City Metro Manila back in 2010 and he become a national president of YCW Philippines from 2018 – 2022.





NANANG IBRAHIM (EXTENSION WORKER )

Nanang Ibrahim was a former IYCW-ASPAC coordinator from 2016-2021. Seeing the need to rebuild the movement in Thailand and extend in Malaysia, he assume his responsibility as Part-time extension worker in 2022. He was appointed by the new IYCW-ASPAC team to help the extension work in the region.

He came from PPMP-YCW Indonesia with much experience in national coordination. He was elected National Secretary from 2008-2012 and as National President from 2012-2016. His organizing skill was honed when he started building his base groupof factory workers in PT-Micro Garment in Manjalaya in 2008.



ANDY NAVARETTE PREDICALA ( FINANCIAL TECHNICAL STAFF)

Andy starts to work in IYCW-Asia Pacific as Technical and Financial Administrator last June 1, 2023. Objectively, his appointment aims to ease the work of IYCW-ASPAC Coordinators in many technical work on finance and the organizations’ government legal obligations.

Prior to his appointment, he was the IYCW International Treasurer from 2015-2018 and was IYCW ASPAC Coordinator from 2010-2014. His national movement experience is from YCW-Philippines where he was elected as National President from 2006-2009 and Regional Representative-Bicol from 2003-2005. His base group action experience is from the sector of working students, young miners and young fishermen.
