The working conditions of women workers especially in Asia-Pacific remains difficult and the level of discrimination and exploitation are bringing huge impact in their lives. In Pakistan for instance, according to Kushbu, one of the participants during the webinar, women works extremely for long hours with little pay. Even the professionals like teacher, women teachers receive lower salaries compared to men, so as the promotions.

Women are often left behind and basically, women workers normally have little education compared to men due to many misconceptions and culture thinking.

The poor and unhealthy living conditions of young women workers are symptoms of low wage and lack of social protection women. Aya, from YCW-Philippines shared during the discussion that domestic workers wage are often insufficient to meet the basic daily needs. It also add pressure and stress for the young women workers because of the expectation and obligation to support their parents and the education of their siblings.
