Last February 18, 2024, YCW Sri Lanka Coordinating Team headed by Punya and Aruna, facilitated team building activity for the new members and for the current leaders. It was held in Batagama Church, thanks to the support of the local chaplain for allowing to use the facilities of the church.

The event was attended by 17 new members and 6 leaders/coordinators coming from different communities; Batagama, Delathura, Kalaeliya, Kandana and Negombo.

 The gathering is characterized with youth dynamism through games and team building activities, sharing of their own realities as workers and as leaders of YCW, communion and food sharing. The chaplain introduces YCW and why the movement is important for the young workers today. Punya explained the movement’s history, the methodology and different kind of actions and activities that YCW Sri Lanka have done in the past.

 To end, it is resolved to strengthen their personal relationships by building up good communication system, celebrating Patricia’s birthday in the coming days and to prepare for the forthcoming International Women’s Day Celebration.
