Bandung,
November 1–3, 2024.
The YCW Indonesia National Council is a triennial event organized by PPMP-YCW
Indonesia, with the 2024 session marking the 14th National Council since the
last election in December 2019. This gathering brought together leaders from different
base groups of PPMP-YCW Indonesia to discuss critical issues, elect new
leadership, and chart a course for the future.
This year’s
council was held earlier than usual, from November 1–3, 2024, to accommodate
Indonesia's busy political calendar. With regional and gubernatorial elections
set for the end of November and early December, and the inauguration of the
President in October, the council date was strategically advanced.
Additionally, the timing allowed PPMP-YCW Indonesia to respond proactively to international commitments, including the midterm elections and preparations for the 100th YCW centenary celebration in Belgium.
Leadership in
Action
Given the financial constraints and the recent hosting of the RKLM Asia Pacific meeting in September, this year’s National Council was conducted in a simplified manner. Despite these challenges, the event was imbued with energy and determination from leaders at all levels. The council provided an excellent opportunity to accelerate the organization's progress and set the stage for its future.
