Thank you to The Future of Work - Labor after Laudato si for inviting ASPAC in the working group to better understand the concept in the Seminars on "Care is Work and Work is Care" which will soon be held by FOLWS in July, in this working group the aspac coordinator got a lot of lessons and new understanding about the movement and the current situation of workers, one of which is why the "Care is Work and Work is Care" seminar must be held,
The “Care is work, work is care” report proposed to work toward the establishment of a global transformative community. The present crisis cannot be resolved through incremental adjustments according to the way the economy works but requires a radical
transformation. Bringing this about requires alternative approaches and building transformative global communities to implement them.
In his address to the ILO on 17 June 2021,
Pope Francis said:
“Work that does not take care, that destroys Creation, that endangers the survival of future generations, does not respect the dignity of workers, and cannot be considered decent. On the contrary, work that cares, that contributes to the restoration of full human dignity, will help to ensure a sustainable future for future generations ... And this dimension of care involves, first and foremost, the workers.”
IYCW aspac hopes to be able to help and also continue to study at The Future of Work – Labor after Laudato si,
so this little information from Aspac to be more complete about the seminar "Care is work, work is care" which will be held this July, if you are interested you can contact Aspac to get confirmation or complete information,
Thankyou .
