Why we need social protection?

$rows[judul]

Imagine always living in uncertainty never knowing when an unexpected illness, injury or pregnancy might turn your life upside down , worrying where the money will come from in your old age Or if you lose your harvest to a drought , or your job to a crisis.

in Asia and Pacific, Millions of people from all walks of life face these uncentainties every day ,  uncertainties the social protection could permanently remove

But what exactly social protection???
basic social protection guarantees essential health care for all.  it provides everyone income security,

to families, so that children can be always be fed, educated and cared for,
For adult to survive, if they're unable to earn enough ,  because of maternity , sickness , unemployment or a disability.  and for other people to live independently and with dignity.  it is a security everyone can count on.

to keep their lives on track in times of need.

Across Asia and Pacific Social protection is a human right, enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Right for seventy years.

But today, more than half of woman, men and children still don't have adequate social protection and our region spending in this area is well below global average

with many countries dedicating less than 2% of GDP to social protection,

Yet where social protection has been extended, lives are being tranformed, millions could be lifted out of property, hunger banished forever and inequalities drastically reduced.
